Paid over $1200 for the Samsung Ln-T4061Fxx TV, but samsung wont fix the problem with the clicking on/off bad capacitors since it was manufactured in spring of 2007 and not the fall which has the bad batch. Well Samsung OBVIOUSLY you had bad capacitors in your tv's in Spring of 07 too since mine just went bad.

What a bunch of crap!

I called Sears where I bought it from and they said that's its a major problem with almost ALL LCD TV's. The operator told me LG and Visio and Sony have the SAME ISSUE. What gets me is that these companies are selling DEFECTIVE products and getting away with it. When you spend thousands of dollars on these tv's you expect them to work over 3 yrs.

I have written a letter to Samsung CEO and cc my local congressman, the atty general, consumeraffairs.com, etc... I recommend you all do the same. ITS NOT JUST SAMSUNG ITS ALL LCD MANUFACTURERS.

I have the same problem. So I took the back off of me tv set and to me it looks ALL wrong. Am i right in thinking that the white stuff melted on or around the smaller capacitors are not supposed to be there?

Had same problem with my Samsung LN46A650. Wouldn't turn on 18 months after I gave them $1900. That's about $105/month for a television.
Samsung didn't care, despite the fact that it's happening to a lot of people, so I joined this class-action lawsuit.
