2 WordPress SEO must have!

WordPress had change my mind on creating a simple static websites that integrates a blog content manager.  WordPress makes everything easy!  Especially the on-page optimization for search engines.  In this blog website, I have plenty of first page ranking keywords that drives traffic to this website.  I have to give credit to the SEO must have to your WordPress driven websites!

PermaLinks

This is a built-in feature for WordPress.  A feature where you can set the structure of your URL’s.  This makes your URL search engine friendly and this is how I would recommend setting your Permalinks.

follow the steps:

1. In WordPress Admin interface
2. go to “Settings” then click on “PermaLinks”
3. select “Custom Structure”
4. insert this in the custom structure field: /%postname%
5. Click “Save Changes”

Once this setting is save you will notice your URL’s will look like this:  http://www.crovean.net/2-wordpress-seo-must-have (see URL on the address bar) isn’t that search engine friendly?
